Join Kimberly’s Book Club

  • Are you keen to explore and take action towards wholehearted living?
  • Are you looking for a small group of women you can trust?
  • Are you ready to gain energy from being part of something unique?
  • Are you ready to grow, learn, and live?

If you find yourself answering YES to these questions, then I would love to have you as part of my first book club!

I have been asked several times by my clients and Club Mom members if I would ever consider facilitating a Book Club for moms. The more I thought about it, this request made sense as it is a perfect way to stretch your insurance dollars while still allowing me to provide the quality of support, information, and knowledge you deserve and I try to deliver. I also love to read and frequently pass onto my clients great books that have helped me on my journey of personal health and wellness as a woman and a mother. So to me, this is a chance to create a meaningful learning experience in a supportive community using a researched based book that is chalk full of opportunities to develop greater positivity in our lives as women.

For our first group study, I have chosen The Gifts of Imperfection: Your Guide to A Wholehearted Life by Brene Brown, Ph.D., LMSW. She is a writer and research professor at the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work. Her groundbreaking work has been featured on PBS, NPR, and CNN and was the topic of two recent TEDx talks. Visit her popular blog to learn more www.ordinarycourage.com.

I have designed our sessions to run for ten meetings so we can spend time on each of the guideposts for wholehearted living covered in Brene’s outstanding book.

  • Guidepost #1 Cultivating Authenticity: Letting Go of What People Think
  • Guidepost #2 Cultivating Self-Compassion: Letting Go of Perfectionism
  • Guidepost #3 Cultivating a Resilient Spirit: Letting Go of Numbing and Powerlessness
  • Guidepost #4 Cultivating Gratitude and Joy: Letting Go of Scarcity and Fear of the Dark
  • Guidepost #5 Cultivating Intuition and Trusting Faith: Letting Go of the Need for Certainty
  • Guidepost #6 Cultivating Creativity: Letting Go of Comparison
  • Guidepost #7 Cultivating Play and Rest: Letting Go of Exhaustion
  • Guidepost #8 Cultivating Calm and Stillness: Letting Go of Anxiety as a Lifestyle
  • Guidepost #9 Cultivating Meaningful Work: Letting Go of Self-Doubt and “Suppose To”
  • Guidepost #10 Cultivating Laughter, Song and Dance: Letting Go of Being Cool and “Always in Control”
